Roadworks management
Autostrada del Brennero has established specific criteria for the management and scheduling of roadworks occupying the carriageway, prioritising the execution of works during night-time hours and periods of lower traffic volumes in order to minimise their impact on traffic flow. As a general rule, works requiring the occupation of traffic lanes or the closure of sections of the motorway, interchanges or service areas are carried out mainly at night. Long-term works on bridges and viaducts, as well as resurfacing works which, by their nature, cannot be confined to night-time hours, are organised in such a way as to ensure that two lanes in each direction remain available during the daytime, even if with reduced lane widths. More extensive worksites for which this traffic configuration cannot be maintained may only be scheduled during periods of the year characterised by lower traffic volumes and subject to prior authorisation by the Company. Mobile worksites are preferably carried out at night. Where this is not practicable, they are nevertheless scheduled during the periods of the day characterised by lower traffic volumes.
